In the West Bank, Israeli forces shot and killed 1 Palestinian near the checkpoint at Beit Ur al-Tahta near Ramallah; Israeli forces said they shot a man lighting a small fire in the area and that the man was found dead 1 hour and 30 minutes later, next to his child. Israeli forces did not go to check on the man they shot him and it was later revealed that the man had lit a cigarette, not a fire. Israel later said it would investigate the killing. Israeli forces also demolished 3 agricultural structures in Ibziq. 18 Palestinians were arrested during raids in and around Tammun, Deir Istiya, Ramallah, Abu Dis, ‘Anata, Beit Fajjar, Beit Sahour, Dura, and al-‘Arroub refugee camp. Off the coast of Gaza, Israeli naval forces opened fire at Palestinian fishermen within 3 nautical miles west of Gaza; no injuries were reported.
