Israeli security sources say 1 of those killed, Ayman Bihdari, was targeted for assassination for his role in organizing the 8/25/01 raid on a Gaza IDF post that left 3 soldiers dead. The DFLP vows retaliation. The IDF also demolishes 2 Palestinian homes in Issawiyya; shells an alleged Palestinian mortar factory in Jabaliya. Nr. Nablus, Palestinian gunmen fire on a car with Israeli license plates, wounding an Israeli Arab B'Tselem employee on the job collecting information on human rights violations by the IDF.
