Israel’s Knesset passes into law an amendment to Israel’s Basic Law on Jerusalem that strengthens Israeli control over the city. PA FM al-Maliki says that the Palestinian leadership has decided to request, at a summit planned for 1/6 in Amman, the implementation of the Amman Summit resolutions of 1980, which stipulated a political and economic boycott of any country that moves its embassy in Israel to Jerusalem.
