In Gaza, Palestinian gunmen ambush a Jewish settler convoy escorted by IDF trucks heading to Netzarim, detonating a roadside bomb and opening fire but causing no injuries. When the IDF sends in a tank for support, the gunmen detonate a shaped charge underneath it, killing 3 IDF soldiers, wounding 2. This marks the 1st time Palestinians have destroyed an IDF tank.
