In the West Bank, Israeli settlers used pepper spray and stones to attack Palestinians in Kisan. Israeli settlers also stole 1 water tank from a Palestinian in al-Maleh. Israeli forces demolished 1 Palestinian home under construction in Aqabat Jaber refugee camp. 14 Palestinians were arrested during late-night raids in Deir Sammit, Zeita, al-Yamun, Nablus, Kafl Haris, Salfit, Aida refugee camp, and Bayt Jala. In East Jerusalem, 1 Israeli settler shot and injured 1 Palestinian man who allegedly stabbed another settler with a screwdriver in the Ramot settlement. 1 Palestinian was arrested during a late-night raid in Shu‘fat refugee camp. In Gaza, after claiming that gunfire from Gaza hit an industrial building in Israel, Israeli forces conducted air strikes on 2 structures near Beit Hanun; no injuries were reported. Israel legalized the Mitzpe Dani settlement outpost near Deir Dibwan and approved plans to expand the settlement with 114 new housing units. (WAFA 7/19)

Israeli defense minister Benny Gantz ordered Israeli police and military forces to prevent followers of the Nachala settlement organization from setting up settlement outposts in the West Bank, as the organization had publicly announced its plans to erect settlement outposts for months. In the Gaza Strip, a Palestinian man at the European Hospital in Khan Yunis succumbs to injuries sustained in an Israeli air strike on 8/3/2014 during OPE. In the West Bank, Israeli forces demolish and evacuate the tent camp “Gate of Jerusalem” after Palestinian and international activists rebuild it in Abu Dis for the 4th time. In separate incidents, IDF troops violently disperse Palestinian and international activists protesting outside Ofer military prison nr. Ramallah and in a village nr. Hebron, causing no injuries. The IDF conducts house searches and raids nr. Jenin and Hebron; patrols nr. Ramallah, Tulkarm, Hebron, and in al-Fawar r.c.; arrests 1 Palestinian outside al-Ibrahimi Mosque in c. Hebron. Israeli settlers park 5 mobile homes in a Palestinian village nr. Nablus, establishing a new outpost. Separately, an Israeli settler opens fire on Palestinian cars driving in the area, causing no injuries. In East Jerusalem, Israeli forces arrest 1 Palestinian during a raid in the Old City. In the West Bank, the IDF shoots and wounds 2 Palestinians during a protest nr. Ramallah. The IDF conducts house searches and arrest raids in 2 villages nr. Nablus and 1 village each nr. Hebron and Jenin at night; patrols in 1 village and al-‘Arub r.c. nr. Hebron during the day. A Palestinian drives his car into Israeli soldiers positioned at a checkpoint nr. al-‘Arub, injuring 3 of them. In East Jerusalem, a Palestinian drives his car into a light rail station, killing 1 border policeman and injuring 13. The driver, a resident of Shu‘fat, is shot and killed at the scene. The Jerusalem Local Planning and Building Comm. renews 278 previously approved housing permits for East Jerusalem settlement Ramot Shlomo and Har Homa, and approves 28 new ones for Ramot. (JP 11/5)
