The General Union of Palestinian Teachers launches a limited strike in the West Bank in protest at the failure of the Palestinian Authority (PA) to implement previous agreements. The union’s secy.-gen., Ahmad Sahwil, says the union is prepared to begin a full, open-ended strike should the PA not meet its demands.
