The Israeli cabinet confirms a decision to free 26 Palestinian prisoners as part of an arrangement agreed in 8/2013 to free 104 prisoners in 4 stages. The prisoners are all serving time for violence committed before the 1993 interim accord. An unnamed senior Israeli official says that Netanyahu has decided Israel will renew its cooperation with the UN Human Rights Council after an 18-month boycott, thus meaning that Israeli diplomats will participate in the periodical hearing scheduled for 10/29 in Geneva.
