In the West Bank, Israeli forces delivered demolition notices for 2 agricultural structures in al-Walaja. In East Jerusalem, Israeli settlers toured the Haram al-Sharif compound, closing sections off to Palestinian worshippers. (WAFA, WAFA 8/1; PCHR 8/5)

The Israeli government approved plans to allow an additional 15,000 work permits for Palestinian construction workers from the West Bank, bringing the total work permits for West Bank construction workers to 80,000. Haaretz reported that Israeli public security minister Omer Bar-Lev of the Labor party ordered his ministry officials and Israeli police officials to submit all proposed demolitions in bedouin communities in Israel and East Jerusalem to him.
