The IDF demolishes 2 Palestinian homes, 2 shacks nr. Ramallah and 2 homes, 1 shack nr. Hebron; blows up a dovecote containing a rifle, homemade pipe bombs, perhaps mortars in Dahaysha r.c.; blows up a storehouse containing chemicals, steel bearings that could possibly be used in manufacturing bombs; conducts arrest raids in the Bethlehem area (targeting Hamas mbrs.), Khan Yunis, Ramallah, Tulkarm; fires on residential areas of Rafah. Palestinians fire a rocket at a Jewish settlement in Gaza, damaging 1 home. A Palestinian dies of injuries received on 1/11. (HA, JTA, LAW, PCHR 1/22)
