The IDF conducts synchronized morning patrols in 2 villages n. of Tulkarm; conducts evening patrols in 2 villages nr. Jenin and Salfit. Palestinians (sometimes accompanied by Israeli and international activists) hold weekly nonviolent demonstrations against the separation wall, land confiscations, and settlement expansion in Bil’in, Kafr Qaddum, Nabi Salih, and Ni’lin, also calling for national reconciliation, Palestinians rights, and the release of Palestinian prisoners. IDF soldiers beat and fire rubber-coated steel bullets, tear gas, and stun grenades at the protesters; 2 Palestinians in Nabi Salih are moderately injured, 1 hit in the head by a rubber-coated steel bullet and 1 hit in the foot by a tear gas canister.
