In the Gaza Strip, IDF troops open fire on Palestinians collecting wood alongside the border nr. Bayt Hanun, injuring 1. In the West Bank, the IDF patrols in 1 village nr. Hebron and 1 village nr. Tulkarm in the morning, and in 3 villages and al-‘Arub r.c. nr. Hebron and 1 village nr. Salfit at night. There are clashes in Nablus and Jenin r.c., when Israeli forces enter, with a number of injuries in both cases. In East Jerusalem, Jewish extremists vandalize cars in the Shaykh Jarrah neighborhood. Israel’s Energy and Water Resources Minister Silvan Shalom says that negotiations between Israelis and the Palestinians will resume on Tuesday in Washington, in remarks made to reporters in Jericho after meeting with Palestinian chief negotiator Saeb Erakat for the dedication of a joint industrial zone funded by the Japanese govt.
