In the Gaza Strip, armed Palestinians fire a rocket into s. Israel, causing some damage but no injuries. Afterward, an Israeli air strike in the n. Gaza Strip kills 1 mbr. of an armed group, and wounds 3, including a 10-year-old boy. PA Pres. Abbas calls on the Palestinian factions to hold their fire and “not give Israel any pretext” to strike the Gaza Strip. Mark Regev, spokesperson for the Israeli PM’s office, describes Abbas’s comments as “nothing but empty rhetoric.” The IDF patrols in 1 village, al-Fawar r.c. and al-‘Arub r.c. nr. Hebron at night.
