Small-scale violence continues to characterize the ongoing wave of violence in the oPt as IDF troops shoot and kill a Palestinian driver at a junction nr. Hebron after he rams his car into 2 Israeli border policemen, injuring both (1 will succumb to his injuries on 11/8). The corresponding Israeli crackdown continues as well: Israeli forces deliver a punitive demolition order to the Nablus-area home of the Palestinian who allegedly carried out a stabbing attack in a settlement on 10/25; assault a Palestinian journalist at a checkpoint nr. Jenin. The IDF conducts house searches and raids in 3 villages nr. Hebron, 2 nr. Ramallah, 1 nr. Tulkarm, and Jenin r.c. nr. Jenin, arresting 6 Palestinians. Israeli settlers enter a village nr. Nablus, sparking clashes between stone-throwing Palestinian youths and IDF troops (14 Palestinians are injured). Along Gaza’s border, IDF troops open fire on Palestinians in a village e. of Dayr al-Balah, injuring 1. Late at night, Israeli forces conduct a limited incursion across the s. border fence to level land. In East Jerusalem, Israeli forces keep the checkpoint between Silwan and the Old City closed for a 2d day in a row, sparking clashes with stone-throwing Palestinian youths; 2 Palestinians are injured. Meanwhile, Israeli forces remove 4 roadblocks around East Jerusalem, leaving in place around 20 barriers that were installed since the recent escalation of violence.
