In the West Bank, Israeli forces continue the assault on the Jenin governorate for the third day in a row. Israeli forces shoot and kill a Palestinian man driving a car near Zababdeh, when the car ignites 2 others escape the car before they are hit by an Israeli drone strike. Hamas says its commander Wissam Ayman Hazem is one of the victims of the attack. Israeli forces also shoot and kill an 84-year-old man outside of his home in Jenin, injuring another person. Meanwhile, Israeli forces injure 3 Red Crescent medical staff, including 1 with live ammunition and 2 with shrapnel. Israeli forces also open fire at a group of journalists and demolish a home with explosives in Jenin. Internet connectivity in Jenin remains limited for the second day in a row. Separately from the attacks in the Jenin governorate, Israeli forces shoot and kill a Palestinian man near Beit Umar, claiming he opened fire at the Karmei Zur settlement; an Israeli person is reportedly injured after being rammed by the Palestinian man. Israeli forces also shoot and kill a Palestinian man after he allegedly caused an explosion at a gas station at the Gush Etzion junction, 2 Israelis are injured. Elsewhere, Israeli forces shoot and injure a child during a raid in Qalqilya. Israeli forces also shoot and injure 2 Palestinians near Ramallah. Meanwhile, Israeli forces violently disperse Palestinian protesters during raids in Yatma and Kafr Qaddum, causing tear-gas related injuries. An Israeli settler opens fire at Palestinians in Huwwara. Israeli settlers also set fire to farmland near Burqa. In Gaza, Israeli forces bomb Khan Yunis, Jabalia refugee camp, Nuseirat refugee camp, and Maghazi. There is no update from the Gaza Ministry of Health on the number of casualties. Israeli forces also withdraw from eastern parts of Khan Yunis. In Lebanon, Hezbollah forces launch 40 rockets at the western Galilee. More than 40,602 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli forces in Gaza, including at least 16,456 children and 11,088 women, and around 93,855 have been injured since 10/7/2023. At least 10,000 people are missing in rubble. 664 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli forces and settlers in the West Bank and East Jerusalem since 10/7/2023, including 144 children. More than 5,420 people have been injured. Israel reports that 1,139 Israelis and foreign nationals have been killed and 5,400 have been injured in Israel since 10/7/2023, including Israeli soldiers. In addition, 340 Israeli soldiers have been killed and 2,263 injured in Gaza since the ground invasion began on 10/27/2023. Over 1.93 million Palestinians, nearly 85% of the population of Gaza, have been displaced since 10/7/2023. There has been a complete electricity blackout in Gaza since 10/12/2023 due to the Israeli blockade. UNRWA says it has suspended its services in some refugee camps in the West Bank due to the Israeli operations in the Jenin, Tulkarm, and Tubas governorates. EU high commissioner for foreign affairs Josep Borrell calls on Israel to end its operation in the West Bank, saying “[a]ny escalation is a disaster in the making. Israel genuine security concerns cannot justify civilian casualties and the destruction of infrastructure, especially water and sewage systems.” The UK Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Office issues a statement expressing concern over Israel’s operation in the West Bank and “strongly condemns settler violence and inciteful remarks such as those made by Israel’s National Security Minister [Itamar] Ben-Gvir, which threaten the status-quo of the Holy Sites in Jerusalem.” The French foreign ministry also express concern over Israel’s attacks in the West Bank.
