In the West Bank, Israeli settlers set fire to an agricultural structure in Turmus ‘Ayya. Israeli settlers also set fire to farmlands in al-Janiya. Elsewhere, Israeli settlers set up an outpost near Artas. Israeli settlers also destroy water pipelines supplying Umm al-Khair. Israeli forces shoot and kill a 13-year-old Palestinian boy in Deir Abu Mash’al. Israeli forces also shoot and injure 3 Palestinian children, aged 9, 10, and 13, during a raid in ‘Askar refugee camp. Elsewhere, Israeli forces raid Tulkarm and Nur Shams refugee camp, besieging 2 hospitals, cutting off internet access, detaining journalists, and uprooting infrastructure. Israeli forces also seize a Palestinian home and raze olive and grape trees in Umm Safa. Meanwhile, Israeli forces demolish a Palestinian home in Furush Beit Dajan. Israeli forces also raid an exchange shop in Aqabat Jaber refugee camp, stealing cash. Separately, Israeli forces arrest 16 Palestinians during late-night raids in and around Ramallah, Qalqilya, Hebron, Nablus, Bethlehem, and Jericho. In East Jerusalem, Israeli authorities force a Palestinian family to demolish their own home in Jabel Mukaber. Israeli settlers tour the Haram al-Sharif compound. Israeli forces issue a demolition notice for a 5-story apartment building in Shu’fat refugee camp. In Gaza, Israeli forces bomb Nuseirat refugee camp, Dayr al-Balah, Rafah, Gaza City, al-Bureij refugee camp, and Khan Yunis, killing at least 50 people, including 29 at a tent camp outside the al-Awda school in Abasan east of Khan Yunis and 17 members of the same family in a strike on a home in Nuseirat refugee camp. The Red Crescent says it is unable to respond to distress calls from Gaza City due to heavy Israeli bombardment. An Israeli soldier is killed in combat. In Lebanon, Israeli forces bomb Rab El Thalathine. Hezbollah forces kill 2 Israelis in a rocket strike on the Nafah base in the Golan Heights. In Syria, Israeli forces bomb a Syrian military outpost near the border to Lebanon, killing 2 people, including a Hezbollah member. Israeli forces also bomb Baniyas, causing damage. More than 38,243 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli forces in Gaza, including at least 15,983 children and 10,637 women, and around 88,033 have been injured since 10/7/2023. At least 10,000 people are missing in rubble. 566 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli forces and settlers in the West Bank and East Jerusalem since 10/7/2023, including 133 children. More than 5,420 people have been injured. Israel reports that 1,139 Israelis and foreign nationals have been killed and 5,400 have been injured in Israel since 10/7/2023, including Israeli soldiers. In addition, 325 Israeli soldiers have been killed and 2,097 injured in Gaza since the ground invasion began on 10/27/2023. Over 1.93 million Palestinians, nearly 85% of the population of Gaza, have been displaced since 10/7/2023. There has been a complete electricity blackout in Gaza since 10/12/2023 due to the Israeli blockade. At least 79,000 housing units have been destroyed and 370,000 have been damaged in Israeli airstrikes since 10/7/2023. 22 trucks carrying aid enter Gaza. 10 independent UN rights experts appointed by the UN Human Rights Council say Israel is carrying out a “targeted starvation campaign” in Gaza, resulting in the deaths of children and the spread of famine. The PA files a petition at the Israeli High Court of Justice requesting that it overturns 2 laws allowing Israeli victims of Palestinian attacks to seek damages from the PA, saying the laws violate the PA’s sovereignty and could lead to its collapse. It is the first time that the PA has filed a petition with the High Court of Justice to have an Israeli law overturned. (HA 7/9)
