In the West Bank, Israeli settlers shoot and injure a Palestinian man during a raid in Burqa. Israeli settlers also set fire to a Palestinian home and vandalize 20 olive trees during a raid in Khalayel al-Loz. Elsewhere, Israeli settlers vandalize olive trees during a raid in Jaba’. Israeli settlers also raze agricultural land in Battir. Israeli forces prevent Palestinians from harvesting olives in Ramin. Israeli forces also violently disperse Palestinian protesters in Beita, causing tear-gas related injuries. Elsewhere, Israeli forces raid Bayt Dajan, stealing $6,600 in cash from 2 homes. Israeli forces also prevent Palestinians from praying at the Ibrahimi Mosque. Meanwhile, Israeli forces arrest 8 Palestinians during late-night raids in and around Yatma, Bayt Dajan, Beita, Yatta, ‘Azzun, al-Mughayyir, Deir Dibwan, and Burqa. In Gaza, Israeli forces bomb Rafah, Gaza City, Jabalia refugee camp, Dayr al-Balah, Maghazi, and Nuseirat refugee camp, killing at least 61 people, including 22 in a strike on several homes in Jabalia. An Israeli soldier is killed in southern Gaza. In Lebanon, Israeli forces bomb al-Bisariya, Ansariye, Ghazieh, Halanieh, Temnine Et Tahta, Zawtar El Charkiyeh, Wadi Zibqin, Kafra, Bazouriye, and Yatar, killing at least 60 people, including 2 Lebanese soldiers in Kafra. Israeli forces also shoot and injure several Sri Lankan UNIFIL soldiers near Naqoura, the second direct attack on UNIFIL forces in 2 days. Hezbollah forces fire rockets at Acre and Haifa. More than 42,126 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli forces in Gaza, including at least 17,000 children and 11,487 women, and around 98,117 have been injured since 10/7/2023. At least 10,000 people are missing in rubble. 739 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli forces and settlers in the West Bank and East Jerusalem since 10/7/2023, including 154 children. More than 6,315 people have been injured. Israel reports that 1,139 Israelis and foreign nationals have been killed and 5,400 have been injured in Israel since 10/7/2023, including Israeli soldiers. In addition, 352 Israeli soldiers have been killed and 2,298 injured in Gaza since the ground invasion began on 10/27/2023. Over 1.93 million Palestinians, nearly 85% of the population of Gaza, have been displaced since 10/7/2023. There has been a complete electricity blackout in Gaza since 10/12/2023 due to the Israeli blockade. At least 79,000 housing units have been destroyed and 370,000 have been damaged in Israeli airstrikes since 10/7/2023. Palestinian prisoner Mohammed Munir Mousa dies at the Soroka Hospital, becoming the 41st prisoner known to have died in Israeli custody since 10/7/2023. 37-year-old Mousa was arrested on 4/20/2023 and held at the Ramon Prison until he was transferred to a hospital for undisclosed reasons. France, Italy, and Spain issue a joint statement, condemning Israel’s targeting of UNIFIL forces. France summons the Israeli ambassador for questioning over the attacks. Israel claims it is investigating the attacks on UNIFIL soldiers, saying that 2 peacekeepers were “inadvertently” hurt. U.S. president Joe Biden says in response to a question that he is asking Israel to stop shooting UN peacekeepers. Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin urges Israel to ensure the safety of UNIFIL forces in a phone call with Defense Minister Yoav Gallant. U.S. secretary of state Antony Blinken says Israel has “clear and legitimate” reasons for attacking Lebanon and Hezbollah. Blinken also speaks with Lebanese foreign minister Najib Mikati and house speaker Nabih Berri, discussing diplomatic solutions to Israel’s invasion of Lebanon. Mikati reiterates that Lebanon is ready to strengthen its military and implement UN Security Council Resolution 1701. Mikati also says the international community’s silence on Israel’s crimes is an approval of their actions. U.S. deputy assistant to the president Amos Hochstein tells the Lebanese TV channel LBC that the U.S. does not like the bombing of densely populated Beirut and that it would like to see a ceasefire.
