Al-Ittihad reported last week that Palestinian inmates of Hebron prison went on hunger strike in support of detainees at Jnayd prison in Nablus, who went on hunger strike to protest brutal treatment from their guards [FJ 7/19].

Arab World: PLO gives Jordan list of 10 to 15 Palestinians who have its approval to participate in talks with U.S. under Hussein peace initiative [NYT 7/14]. Names are not disclosed.
