In the West Bank, stone-throwing Israeli settlers injured 1 Palestinian travelling in his car near Burin. Israeli forces arrested 3 Palestinians during raids near Jenin. In Gaza, incendiary balloons were sent to Israel, sparking fires; Israel claimed Palestinians had fired at Israeli soldiers near the Gaza fence. Israel fired missiles at Gaza in 2 separate instances; no injuries were reported on either side. Israeli forces also opened fire on Palestinian agricultural lands east of Bayt Lahiya, Khuza‘a, al-Maghazi, and Dayr al-Balah; no injuries were reported. In East Jerusalem, Israeli forces demolished 3 Palestinian-owned homes and 1 store in Silwan. In Lebanon, the Lebanese government declared a 2-week state of emergency in Beirut in the wake of the deadly blast on 8/4, which killed more than 135 people and wounded more than 5,000. The president of Lebanon Michel Aoun said the government would initiate a transparent investigation into what could have happened.
