In the West Bank, armed Israeli settlers blocked a road to az-Zubaidat near Jericho. Israeli settlers also vandalized 120 olive trees in Turmus ‘Ayya. Israeli forces shot and killed 1 Palestinian minor while securing Joseph’s Tomb near Nablus for a tour of the site by newly elected Israeli right-wing politicians, 3 others were injured by live ammunition and baton rounds while others suffered tear-gas related injuries. Israeli forces also shot and killed 1 Palestinian man trying to enter Israel through the separation wall west of Jenin. Elsewhere, Israeli forces violently dispersed Palestinian protesters in Beit Umar, injuring 5 with live ammunition and baton rounds, while others suffered tear-gas related injuries. Israeli forces also demolished 1 residential structure in Kafr ad-Dik and seized 3 caravans in Birin. Meanwhile, Israeli forces prevented roadwork near Deir Nidham, seizing a concrete truck and a concrete mixer. Israeli forces also delivered demolition notices for 5 structures used for tourism in Duma. 18 Palestinians were arrested during late-night raids in Nabi Salih, Bayt Rima, Biddu, Beit Duqqu, Qalandia refugee camp, al-Ubeidiya, al-Twana, al-Lubban ash-Sharqiya, and Tulkarm. In Gaza, Israeli forces made incursions and leveled farmland east of Dayr al-Balah. Thousands of Palestinian protesters gather along Gaza’s border to continue the Great March of Return for a 7th consecutive Friday. The march’s organizing committee says that the theme of the demonstrations this week is “preparation and warning of what’s to come,” referring to the mass protests set for 5/14 to coincide with the formal opening of the new U.S. embassy in Jerusalem. IDF troops violently disperse demonstrations along the border fence near Khan Yunis, Jabaliya refugee camp, al-Bureij refugee camp, Rafah, and Gaza City; 1 Palestinian is killed and hundreds of Palestinians are injured. The killing today brings the death total stemming from the Great March of Return to 43. Meanwhile, Palestinians set fire to a pipeline leading from Israel to Gaza at the Kerem Shalom border crossing, causing major damage. In the West Bank, hundreds of Israeli settlers visit Joseph’s Tomb near Nablus overnight, sparking clashes between their IDF escort and Palestinian residents of the area; 16 Palestinians are injured. Israeli settlers torch a Palestinian home in Duma near Nablus, causing moderate damage. IDF troops arrest 4 Palestinians during late-night raids in and around Nablus, Jenin, and Hebron; and patrol near Jenin, Tulkarm, and Hebron. They also violently disperse Palestinian minors throwing stones at IDF posts in al-Bireh and Jericho; 2 Palestinians are injured. An unidentified driver allegedly rams and slightly injures an IDF soldier at a checkpoint near Nablus. In East Jerusalem, Israeli police violently disperse Palestinians gathering outside Haram al-Sharif to protest Israeli excavation work at an Islamic cemetery nearby; 3 Palestinians are injured and 6 are arrested. Off Gaza’s coast nr. Bayt Lahiya, Israeli naval forces open fire on Palestinian fishing boats, causing no injuries. In the West Bank, IDF troops violently disperse stone-throwing Palestinians nr. Jalazun r.c. outside Ramallah after the funeral for the Palestinian who was shot nr. Atara checkpoint on 7/31; 8 Palestinians are injured. Further clashes break out between stone-throwing Palestinians and IDF troops nr. the site of the 7/31 arson attack in Duma and in 1 village each nr. Nablus, Jenin, and Qalqilya; there are no serious injuries. Israeli settlers assault Palestinian farmers working nr. Nablus; IDF troops nonviolently disperse the settlers and farmers, and declare the area a closed military zone. Later, settlers and IDF troops attack a Palestinian farmer working s. of Nablus, injuring him. A separate group of settlers sets fire to agricultural lands nr. Ramallah, then IDF troops violently disperse Palestinians who attempt to extinguish it, injuring 2. IDF troops fire rubber-coated metal bullets at Palestinians nr. the separation wall outside Qalqilya and in a nearby village, causing no injuries. Overnight and into the morning, Palestinians gather at Joseph’s Tomb outside Nablus to protest the 7/31 arson attack; PASF troops disperse the protesters, blocking them from setting the Jewish holy site on fire. The IDF also conducts late-night house searches and raids in Hebron and 3 villages nr. Ramallah, arresting 7 Palestinians, assaulting 2, and confiscating property; patrols in 2 villages nr. Jericho and 1 nr. Jenin; assaults a Palestinian at a checkpoint nr. Bethlehem, causing moderate injuries.
