In the West Bank, Israeli settlers damaged a total of 120 olive trees and stole olive-picking equipment during 3 separate incidents in al-Sawiya and Yasuf village. Israeli settlers attacked Israeli forces as they entered the Yitzhar settlement to arrest 1 settler; 3 Israeli officers were injured. Israeli forces prevented Palestinians from harvesting olives in Sabastiyya. 3 Palestinians were arrested during raids in and around Hebron and Bethlehem. In East Jerusalem, Israeli forces injured 16 Palestinians during a late-night raid in Issawiyya using rubber-coated bullets and tear gas. 2 Palestinians were arrested during raids. Off the coast of Gaza, Israeli naval forces opened fire on Palestinian fishermen off the shore of Jabalia and Bayt Lahiya; no injuries were reported. During the demolition, Israeli forces clashed with protesting Palestinians, leading to tear-gas related injuries. Israeli forces also demolished several structures erected by Israeli settlers outside the Yitzhar settlement; the demolition happened after settlers threw stones at Israeli forces on 10/21. Israeli settlers attacked Palestinians harvesting olives in Yasuf and stole the harvest when the Palestinians fled their fields. Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu appointed a new Justice Minister, Amir Ohana. Haaretz reported that Ohana was appointed because he supports changes that would grant Netanyahu immunity in the legal cases he is facing. (HA 6/5)

U.S. House representatives and senators reintroduced a bipartisan bill to allocate $50 million to invest in the Palestinian economy and programs promoting Israeli-Palestinian relations. The bill was first introduced in October 2018; the reintroduced bill is more detailed about where the funding would be directed. The bill also mentions support for a 2-state solution. According to Axios, the Israeli ambassador to the U.S. Ron Dermer and other Israeli officials have been lobbying senators Lindsey Graham (R-SC) and Chris Van Hollen (D-MD) to remove language about a 2-state solution.
