In the West Bank, Israeli settlers blocked a road between Nablus and Qalqilya. Israeli forces shot and killed 1 Palestinian man at the separation wall near Qalqilya after he tried to enter Israel for work with other Palestinian workers. Israeli forces also prevented Palestinians and international activists from harvesting olives in al-Twana. In East Jerusalem, 1 Palestinian minor was shot and seriously injured in Sheikh Jarrah after he allegedly had stabbed 1 Israeli settler in the French Hill neighborhood an hour prior. Israeli forces later arrested the Palestinian minor’s father and brother. In Gaza, Israeli forces fired tear gas at farmers east of Khuza‘a, causing tear-gas related injuries. Israeli forces shot and injured 1 Palestinian worker seeking to enter Israel via the separation wall near Far‘un. Israeli forces also seized 2 residential tents near Yatta, displacing 10 people. Elsewhere, in Susiya, Israeli forces seized 3 tents, a generator, and a concreate mixer, and demolished 1 tin structure. Israeli forces also razed 2 dunams (0.5 acres) of Palestinian-owned agricultural land and uprooted some 100 olive trees in near Bethlehem. 6 Palestinians were arrested, including 5 during late-night raids in and around Qalqilya and Yatta, and 1 at a checkpoint west of Nablus. In East Jerusalem, Israeli forces demolished 3 apartments in Silwan, displacing 25 people. 2 Palestinian families also demolished their own homes to avoid exorbitant Israeli demolition fees in Shaykh Jarrah. In Gaza, Israel closed the Kerem Shalom crossing, mainly used for commercial goods, citing fires from incendiary balloons as the reason. Egypt opened the Rafah crossing for 3 days on humanitarian grounds. Israeli forces opened fire on agricultural lands east of Khuza‘a; no injuries were reported. In East Jerusalem, 1 Palestinian was shot dead in Kafr ‘Aqab and 2 apartments were set on fire; it is believed that the fire was set in the apartment of the alleged perpetrators. Israeli police did not investigate the incident as it happened on the West Bank side of the separation wall but still within the Israeli-drawn borders of the East Jerusalem municipality. 8 Palestinians were arrested, including 4 during late-night raids in Issawiyya; 4 were arrested during raids in the Old City and Issawiyya. Off the coast of Gaza, Israeli naval forces opened fire on Palestinian fishermen within 3 nautical miles west of Bayt Lahiya; no injuries were reported. Israeli forces also delivered 1 demolition order for a house under construction in al-Khadir. 9 Palestinians were arrested, including 8 during late-night raids in and around Nahalin, Ya‘bad, Far‘un, and Hebron; 1 was shot and injured before being arrested near Taqqua after allegedly throwing stones at settler vehicles. During a separate raid in Kobar, 1 Palestinian was injured by live ammunition. In East Jerusalem, 1 Palestinian woman from Silwan died of the COVID-19 virus; she is the 2d Palestinian to succumb to the virus in East Jerusalem. Israel ordered PA police not to enter Kafr ‘Aqab, which is located within East Jerusalem but on the West Bank side of the separation wall, after local activists requested the PA police to help enforce a lockdown. Israel has not been helping local authorities impose the lockdown. Off the coast of Gaza, Israeli naval forces opened fire on Palestinian fishermen, injuring 1 with a rubber-coated bullet to his head and damaging 1 boat. In Gaza, Israeli forces opened fire on Palestinian farmers near Khuza‘a and made incursions to level land east of Jabalia.
