In interview published in E. Jerusalem press, PLO Exec. Comm. mbr. Mahmud Abbas sharply criticizes Nayif Hawatima, leader of one faction of the DFLP, for comments he made in support of municipal elections in o.t. [Fateh opposes the elections]. 'Abbas also scores Hawatima for the latter's call for Palestinian withdrawal from peace talks and for his criticisms of PLO leadership [see 4/28]. (MM 4/30)
