In the West Bank, Israeli forces shot and injured 1 Palestinian minor with live ammunition during a raid in al-Arroub refugee camp. Israeli forces also shot and injured 1 Palestinian with live ammunition during a late-night raid in Qabatiya. Elsewhere, Israeli forces rammed 1 Palestinian during a late-night raid in Zababdeh. Israeli forces also demolished 1 agricultural structure and stone walls, sealed a water well, and uprooted some 250 olive tree saplings in al-Mughayyir, demolished 1 agricultural structure in Nabi Ilyas, and 1 agricultural structure in al-Khader. Meanwhile, Israeli forces issued demolition notices for 1 house in Susiya in the Masafer Yatta area. 12 Palestinians were arrested during late-night raids in Jalazun refugee camp, Deir Abu Mash‘al, Bayt Rima, Beit Fajjar, Nablus, Deir al-Hatab, Tulkarm, and Qabatiya. Israel returned the bodies of 2 Palestinians killed by Israeli forces in August 2020 and February 2021 to their families in East Jerusalem and Hebron. (WAFA 1/4; MEMO 1/6)

Axios reported that Morocco is demanding that Israel formally recognizes Moroccan sovereignty over Western Sahara before the country opens an embassy to Israel in Tel Aviv as part of the normalization deal between the 2 countries. (AX 1/4; AJ, MEMO 1/5)

Referring to the evacuated Homesh settlement outpost, U.S. state department spokesperson Ned Price said that the U.S. call on the Israeli government “to refrain from unilateral steps certainly includes any decision to create a new settlement, to legalize outposts or allowing building of any kind deep in the West Bank, adjacent to Palestinian communities or on private Palestinian land.” (HA, MEMO 1/5)

In the West Bank, Israeli forces razed 10 dunams (2.5 acres) of Palestinian-owned land planted with olive and almond trees in al-Walaja. Israeli forces also shot and injured 1 Palestinian during a raid in al-Zababdeh. Israel said it had arrested 7 Palestinians in the West Bank who were allegedly planning on attacking Israelis. The 7 were said to be affiliated with Islamic Jihad. (HA 4/25)

In Lebanon, 1 rocket was launched from southern Lebanon at Israel, landing in an open area near Shlomi. Israel subsequently shelled the area the rocket was launched from; no injuries were reported. (ABC, AJ, ALM, AP, HA, JP, MEE, REU, TOI, WSJ 4/25)

The Israeli high court of justice ordered the Israeli government to present plans on how it will prevent Israeli settlers in the Nokdim settlement from expanding into privately-owned Palestinian land. The court order was issued 1 day after Israel’s civil administration gave the residents at the Nokdim settlement 15 days to explain how their settlement expansion into privately-owned Palestinian land is not squatting. The development follows a petition by the Palestinian owners of the land to the court on the issue. (HA, MEMO 4/27)

The Jerusalem magistrate’s court ordered a rehearing of the case against the Salem family in Sheikh Jarrah, who is threatened by forced eviction by Israeli settlers. The judge ruled that the registrar had made a decision in the case without holding a comprehensive hearing on the Salem family’s claims. (WAFA 4/25; HA 4/26)
