Secy. of State Baker ends talks with Pres. Mubarak in Cairo, after which he flies to Jordan for discussion with King Hussein about Palestinian participation in peace talks. At a press conference in Amman, Baker indicates U.S. is seeking Palestinian delegates who will not press for immediate Palestinian statehood in the o.t. but who would cooperate in talks concerning a limited period of Palestinian self-rule, with negotiations onthe final status of the territories to come later.
