In Geneva, the 176 mbrs. of the International Red Cross agree to grant the Israeli relief agency Magen David Adom observer status until a final decision can be reached on adopting a new neutral emblem, in addition its 2 official symbols, the red cross or red crescent, which Israel refuses to use.
