The IDF raids Tulkarm, assassinates Islamic Jihad mbr. Muhammad Abu Khazna (Muhammad Abu Khalil) whom Israel alleges planned the 2/25 Tel Aviv bombing; bulldozes his home. Abbas condemns the raid, saying “just as calm is demanded of us, we also ask that Israel not do things like this.” The IDF also conducts arrest raids in Nablus. In Ramallah, around 25 armed, masked AMB mbrs. break into a Fatah meeting on reform, fire in air, drive the 1,000 participants out, shouting that they are being ignored by the Fatah leadership.
