Israeli naval vessels fire on an unmanned Palestinian boat off the Bayt Lahiya coast, causing it to explode, resulting in no injuries; Israel claims the boat was full of explosives and Palestinians floated it out to sea in an attempt to attack its ships; there is no independent confirmation, and no group takes responsibility for staging an attack. Egyptian border police demolish 6 smuggling tunnels on the Rafah border. In the West Bank, the IDF stages a late-night raid into Tuqu‘ village nr. Bethlehem, searching several homes and ordering a number of Palestinians to surrender for questioning, but making no arrests; conducts late-night arrest raids, house searches nr. Jenin, Nablus.
