Palestinians fire 2 mortars at the IDF position at the Erez crossing, causing no damage or injuries. The IDF responds late in the evening with 2 air strikes (the 1st since 6/13/09) on a smuggling tunnel on the Rafah border, causing no injuries. During the day, IDF troops make a brief incursion into central Gaza nr. al-Maghazi r.c. to level land along the border fence. In the West Bank, the IDF conducts late-night arrest raids, house searches in and around Jenin town and r.c. and nr. Hebron, Qalqilya, Salfit. Jewish settlers in Hebron beat a Palestinian man.
