Overnight, the IDF makes an air strike on a car traveling in Bayt Lahiya, assassinating Islamic Jihad military cmdr. Mahmud Fattuh, wounding 2 other Islamic Jihad mbrs. Also in Gaza, the IDF makes 4 air strikes on the Rafah border in the afternoon and late evening, causing no injuries; makes 2 late-night air strikes on a commercial building in al-Tuffah in Gaza City, destroying it but causing no injuries. Israeli naval vessels fire on Palestinian fishing boats off the Rafah coast, injuring a Palestinian woman and toddler on shore.
