In the West Bank at night, the IDF conducts house searches and arrest raids in al-‘Arub r.c. nr. Hebron, Nablus, 1 village nr. Nablus, and al-Fara‘a r.c. nr. Tubas; patrols in 1 village nr. Bethlehem. Jewish settlers set fire to olive trees nr. Huwara checkpoint close to Nablus. Meanwhile, Israeli authorities continue the closure of all crossings into the Gaza Strip for a 2d day. Israel’s National Security Adviser Ya’akov Amidror resigns from his role over concerns about a possible conflict of interests related to his previous time as an adviser to Noble Energy, a U.S.-based company involved in Israel’s natural gas exploration and production on off-shore drilling sites. Amidror will officially leave his post in 11/2013. (HA 6/25)
