U.S. Secy. of State John Kerry and Russian FM Sergey Lavrov conclude a deal on the removal of Syrian pres. Asad’s chemical arsenal as a means of averting a U.S. military strike on regime targets. The agreement obliges Asad to account for his stockpile within a week, and permit international inspectors destroy the weapons by mid-2014. Head of the Free Syrian Army Gen.
