PA Pres. Abbas announces that PM Rami Hamdallah will serve as the head of a new national unity govt. Meanwhile, a dispute over the composition of the cabinet delays the announcement of the new govt., with Hamas reportedly rejecting Abbas’s insistence on Riyad al-Maliki as FM. In addition, Hamas spokesperson Sami Abu Zuhri says that there is a dispute over the proposed dissolution of the Ministry of Prisoners’ Affairs, which Hamas opposes.
