In Gaza, several small Islamist groups threaten to fire rockets into Israel in response to “Hamas’s crimes and conspiracies.” The threat follows the arrest of 12 Palestinians accused of blowing up cars on 7/19. Off the coast nr. Gaza City, Israeli naval forces open fire on Palestinian fishing boats, critically injuring 1 fisherman with live ammunition. In the West Bank, Israeli forces demolish 3 Palestinian stores in a village nr. Hebron; raze an agricultural road in a village e. of Salfit; patrol in 3 villages nr. Jenin, 2 nr. Jericho, and 1 each nr. Hebron, Ramallah, and Tulkarm. Late at night, the IDF detains 120 Palestinians attempting to cross into Israel s. of Qalqilya. In East Jerusalem, right-wing Jewish activists tour Haram al-Sharif while Israeli forces restrict access to Palestinian visitors; 1 Palestinian man is detained.
