Unidentified Palestinians open fire on an Israeli settler driving nr. Bethlehem, causing damage and no injuries. A Palestinian suffers minor burns when a flare left by Israeli forces ignites in Jenin. Along Gaza’s border, Israeli forces conduct a limited incursion to level land nr. Rafah. PA pres. Abbas meets with French pres. Hollande in Paris to discuss the French peace initiative in light of recent events. Hollande says that France is determined to build on the 6/3 summit. Meanwhile, in an interview with the Times of Israel, the dir. gen. of Israel’s Foreign Ministry, Dore Gold, says that Israel will probably not attend a follow-up summit in Paris, if invited, because it would “undermine the whole peace process,” reiterating Israel’s opposition to the French efforts.
