IDF troops shoot and kill a Palestinian driver at the Gush Etzion junction south of Bethlehem after he allegedly rams his car into a group of Israeli soldiers; 3 Israeli soldiers are injured in the collision. Palestinian eyewitnesses say that the collision only happened after the driver lost control of his vehicle. Elsewhere in the West Bank, Israeli forces demolish a Palestinian home in Mariha village near Jenin. They also temporarily shut down Beit El checkpoint near Ramallah after a suspicious object is found on the premises. IDF troops arrest 15 Palestinians during raids near Nablus, Qalqilya, Jenin, Tulkarm, and Hebron; and patrol near Jenin, Qalqilya, and Hebron. Israeli settlers raze 10 dunams (approximately 2.5 acres) of Palestinian land near Nablus, then they set up water lines and prepare to expand settlement infrastructure in the area. In East Jerusalem, Israeli forces arrest 32 Fatah-affiliated Palestinians suspected of working for or otherwise supporting the PA’s security forces during raids across the city. Meanwhile, hundreds of Palestinians gather along Gaza’s northern coast to continue the Great March of Return and to cheer on a handful of Palestinian boats sailing in a symbolic challenge to the Israeli blockade. IDF troops and Israeli naval forces violently disperse the demonstrations; 19 Palestinians are injured. Also off Gaza’s coast, Israeli naval forces open fire on Palestinian fishing boats near Jabaliya refugee camp, causing no damage or injuries.
