Along Gaza’s border, IDF troops violently disperse hundreds of Palestinians gathering near Gaza City, Rafah, Dayr al-Balah, and Khan Yunis to continue the Great March of Return for a 6th day in a row; 1 Palestinian is killed and at least 9 are injured. This brings the death toll stemming from the Great March of Return to 156. Separately, unidentified Palestinians fly a number of incendiary balloons across the border fence into southern Israel near the Kerem Shalom border crossing, causing no damage or injuries. IDF troops arrest 2 Palestinians allegedly attempting to cut through the border fence near Gaza City. In East Jerusalem, approximately 40 right-wing Jewish activists tour Haram al-Sharif to commemorate Yom Kippur. In the West Bank, IDF troops confront Palestinian schoolchildren on their way to class in Hebron, sparking minor clashes; there are no serious injuries reported. They also assault and injure 2 Palestinians during raids in Hebron late at night; arrest 3 Palestinians during late-night raids near Jenin and Ramallah; and patrol in and around Hebron and Nablus.
