In the West Bank, a group of Israeli settlers from the Yitzhar settlement attacked a Palestinian family in the village of ‘Urif south of Nablus. A video shows the Israeli settlers hurling rocks at the Palestinian family while the family takes cover, injuring 1 and causing moderate damage to property, including 2 vehicles. In Hebron, a Palestinian man was rushed to a hospital after being shot in the face by Israeli forces. In East Jerusalem, 5 Palestinians were arrested in late-night raids; 1 of the detained was Adnan Gheith, the PA governor of Jerusalem. Mohammed Shtayyeh was sworn in as new PA prime minister in Ramallah by President Mahmoud Abbas. The former prime minister Rami Hamdallah resigned in January. Of the 22 cabinet members in the new cabinet, 17 are new in their position. (AJ, HA, WAFA 4/13)
