In the West Bank, Israeli forces shot and injured 1 Palestinian attempting to cross into Israel by the separation wall in Far‘un. Israeli forces also opened fire at Palestinian youths in al-Fawar refugee camp; 3 Palestinian minors were injured, 2 of them by live ammunition, and 1 was arrested. 1 Palestinian was severely beaten and detained by Israeli forces at a checkpoint near Nablus. 1 Palestinian was arrested during a late-night raid in Bayt Surik. In East Jerusalem, 2 Palestinians were arrested during late-night raids in Bayt Hanina and Qatanna. The Israeli cabinet ministers approved a $230 million advance payment of tax revenue over 4 installments to help the PA’s economy, which is badly impacted by the COVID-19 closures. Israel is still withholding hundreds of millions of dollars from the PA, which Israel believes is spent on stipends to Palestinian prisoners and their families. (HA 5/10)
