In the West Bank, for the 2d day in a row, Israeli settlers toured an archaeological site in Sabastiyya; during the settler tour, the site was closed to Palestinians by Israeli forces. Israeli forces violently dispersed the weekly anti-settlement protest in Kafr Qaddum, injuring 3 using rubber-coated bullets; others suffered tear-gas related injuries. Israeli forces also violently dispersed an anti-settlement protest in Bayt Dajan, causing tear-gas related injuries. 2 Palestinians were arrested during late-night raids in Jenin. A Palestinian prisoner who had been hunger striking for 103 days to protest his administrative detention ended his hunger strike after Israel promised not to extend the administrative detention order against him. (AJ, GDN, HA, REU, WAFA 11/6)

The U.S. put sanctions on the former Lebanese foreign minister and leader of the Christian voting bloc in the Lebanese parliament Gebran Bassil, alleging that he has a particularly big role in Lebanon’s corruption problems and has “aided and abetted Hezbollah’s destabilizing activities.” (AJ, HA, REU 11/6)
