In Israel, thousands of protesters continued the weekly demonstrations against Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu, demanding his resignation. This marked the 18th Saturday in a row that thousands of Israelis have been protesting outside of Netanyahu’s official residence. (HA 10/24)
Former Sudanese prime minister and leader of the country’s biggest political party Sadiq al-Mahdi denounced Sudan’s planned normalization with Israel announced on 10/23, saying that the deal “contributes to the elimination of the peace project in the Middle East and to preparing for the ignition of a new war.” Many other Sudanese parties and politicians spoke out against the normalization deal.
