In the West Bank, Israeli forces dismantled and seized 3 residential tents, 4 agricultural tents, 3 water tanks, and a solar panel in Khirbat al-Maitah. Israeli forces also demolished a water reservoir in al-Khader and delivered a demolition notice for a house in Ya‘bad. 11 Palestinians were arrested during late-night raids in Hebron, Ni‘lin, Jalazun refugee camp, Balata refugee camp, Doha town, and Dheisheh refugee camp. The Israeli high court of justice dismissed appeals filed by Palestinian land owners in Sheikh Jarrah to prevent Israel from seizing 4,700 dunams (1,161 acres) of land for “the public interest.” (PCHR 11/4)

Israel advanced construction plans for 1,303 housing units for Palestinians in Area C. Only 170 units in Barta’a were given final approval. The remaining housing units needing further processing are in Bir al-Basha, al-Masara, al-Masqufa, Dkeika, and Khirbat Aba. (AJ, HA 11/1)

The Sudanese news website al-Sudani reported that a delegation of Mossad agents had visited Sudan shortly after General Abdel-Fattah al-Burhan led a military coup against the transitional government. A Sudanese delegation of defense and intel officials had visited Israel a few weeks prior to the coup. Israeli media speculated if Israel had assisted Sudan’s military in the coup, given the suspicious visits and Israel’s interest in maintaining a path toward a final normalization agreement with the country. Saddam Haftar, son of and aide to Libyan warlord Khalifa Haftar, visited Israel ahead of the Libyan presidential elections scheduled for 12/24. According to Haaretz, Khalifa Haftar is seeking military and diplomatic assistance from Israel in exchange for normalizing ties between Libya and Israel. (HA, MEMO 11/8)

200 Republican members of Congress, led by Rep. Lee Zeldin (R-NY), signed a letter to U.S. president Joe Biden urging him to drop plans for reopening the U.S. consulate to Palestinians in Jerusalem.
