In the West Bank, Israeli settlers vandalized 80 olive trees and saplings in Yasuf. Israeli settlers also vandalized some 50 olive tree saplings in Surif. Israeli forces violently dispersed Palestinian protesters in Hebron protesting against settler attacks on herders in the South Hebron Hills. Israeli forces also violently dispersed Palestinian protesters in Kafr Qaddum, injuring 1. In East Jerusalem, Israeli police violently dispersed Palestinians protesting a settler incursion in Sheikh Jarrah and MK Itamar Ben-Gvir’s announcement that he will reopen his makeshift outdoor office in Sheikh Jarrah. Settlers threw stones and sprayed pepper spray at Palestinians. 2 Israeli settlers were injured, including 1 who was hit by a stone and 1 who was hit by a car; the driver of the car said he accidentally hit the settler after being sprayed with pepper spray by a settler. 6 Palestinians were arrested. Israel’s foreign ministry issued a statement saying that Israel will have a military officer stationed in Bahrain as a part of security agreements between the 2 countries following the normalization deal made in 2020. (MEE 2/11; AJ, HA, REU 2/12; MEMO 2/13)

The chairperson of Sudan’s transitional sovereignty council and de facto leader of the country since the coup in October 2021, Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, told Sudanese TV that meetings between Sudanese and Israeli officials were part of security and intelligence cooperation between the 2 countries and not political.
