In the West Bank, the leader of Islamic Jihad in the West Bank, Khader Adnan, survived an assassination attempt in Nablus after unidentified gunmen opened fire at him. Adnan said he believed the assailants to be Palestinians connected to the PA. A spokesperson for PA security forces dismissed the notion that the PA was behind the assassination attempt.
