In the West Bank, Israeli settlers set fire to Palestinian crops in al-Twana in the Masafer Yatta area. Israeli forces shot and injured 2 Palestinians with baton rounds during a raid in Burin; others suffered tear-gas related injuries. An Israeli soldier was filmed vandalizing a Palestinian car, including breaking 1 window, in Qaryut. Australia, Canada, and the UK issued a joint statement calling on Israel to reverse its decision to expand Israeli settlements, including the advancement of more than 5,000 new settlement units on 6/26, and to shorten the process for approving new settlement units. (REU 6/30; AJ, WAFA 7/1)

The UN Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) updated its list of businesses involved in Israeli West Bank settlements, removing 15 business that were included in the 2020 list. The OHCHR said in the report that the list was incomplete as only the 112 business on the 2020 list were reexamined. (OHCHR, WAFA 6/30)

The members of UNESCO voted to readmit the U.S. to the organization after the Trump administration left UNESCO in 2017, citing alleged anti-Israel bias. Palestine was 1 of 10 members to vote against the U.S. readmission. (ALM 6/30; ALM 7/2)
