In the West Bank, Israeli forces shot and killed 1 Palestinian man with live ammunition and injured 7 others with live ammunition and baton rounds during a raid in Aqabah. Israeli forces used RPGs, severely damaging a house during the raid. Israeli forces also violently dispersed Palestinian protesters in Kafr Qaddum, injuring 7 with baton rounds and others with tear gas. 3 Palestinians were arrested during late-night raids in Seida. In Gaza, Israeli forces violently dispersed Palestinians protesting east of Gaza City, injuring 1 with a tear gas canister and others with tear gas. The remaining Palestinian family, comprised of 8 people, in the al-Baqaa community fled their home after Israeli settler attacks, including 1 on 8/26. Most families in the al-Baqaa community had fled their homes in July. (UNOCHA 9/11)

It was reported that Israeli national security minister Itamar Ben-Gvir restricted family visits for Palestinian prisoners to once every 2 months instead of once a month. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office later said that no decision had been made but that it would be discussed next week. PLO secretary-general Hussein al-Sheikh said the move could lead to “explosive situations.” Later on 9/3, the Supreme Emergency Committee of the Prisoner National Movement announced that Palestinian prisoners will embark on an open-ended hunger strike on 9/14 if the new policy is adopted.
