Hamas spokesperson Osama Hamdan says Hamas has not received the newest ceasefire proposal in writing. U.S. National Security Council spokesperson John Kirby says of the currently circulated ceasefire proposal, “[t]his was an Israeli proposal. We have every expectation that if Hamas agrees to the proposal – as was transmitted to them, an Israeli proposal – then Israel would say yes.” CBS reports that the Israeli war cabinet approved the ceasefire proposal, but that Israel will reserve the right to continue attacking Gaza to destroy Hamas.
