The ICJ orders new provisional measures against Israel in South Africa’s genocide case, ordering Israel to immediately halt to its attacks on Rafah, reopen the Rafah crossing for humanitarian aid, and allow international investigators access to Gaza to conduct inquiries. 2 of the 15 judges vote against the measures, including Israeli ad hoc judge Aharon Barak and Ugandan judge Julia Sebutinde. Hamas welcomes the ruling but points out that the criminality of massacres in northern Gaza is no different from the Rafah attacks. The PA also welcomes the ruling.
