More than 6,500 people have been injured. Israel reports that 1,139 Israelis and foreign nationals have been killed and 5,400 have been injured in Israel since 10/7/2023, including Israeli soldiers. Multiple Israeli outlets report that the Israeli prime minister’s office has forged documents purportedly written by former Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar, instructing its fighters not to release any captives until Hamas’s demands are met. The fake documents were then leaked to the German newspaper Bild and the UK newspaper the Jewish Chronicle to influence Israeli public opinion against a ceasefire deal.
