More than 6,500 people have been injured. Israel reports that 1,139 Israelis and foreign nationals have been killed and 5,400 have been injured in Israel since 10/7/2023, including Israeli soldiers. Over 1.93 million Palestinians, nearly 85% of the population of Gaza, have been displaced since 10/7/2023. PA president Mahmoud Abbas calls on the UN Security Council to meet and discuss the Israeli destruction of Jenin and Tulkarm. The PA issues a statement on the bombing of buildings in Jenin, saying it holds the international community responsible for its silence over the attacks on Jenin and Tulkarm. The Israeli military presents different narratives for why it blew up 23 homes in Jenin refugee camp, including that the homes were used as terrorist infrastructure and that they had to be demolished for Israeli military vehicles to be able to move around on the camp’s narrow streets. Qatari prime minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani calls for the immediate start to negotiations for the second phase of the Gaza ceasefire, saying that there is no clear plan for when the negotiations will begin.
