The IDF shoots, wounds 4 Palestinians attempting to bypass the new checkpoint separating Rafah, Khan Yunis (see 10/5); continues bulldozing land nr. Morag settlement (Palestinians say some 400 dunams have been leveled since 10/5); demolishes 3 Palestinian homes in Rafah; searches buildings in Jenin (including a medical relief building, Charity Fund Comm. offices), confiscating files, computers; conducts arrest raids in Jenin, detaining 31 alleged Islamic Jihad mbrs. Hamas fires 16 mortars at a Jewish settlement in Gaza, causing no damage or injuries.
